It is indeed a LAND of RICHES, but few things are free.
With respect to commerce, humankind profits when resources are dug from the earth, formed into products that are used, exhausted, and then reburied in a state no longer useful.
The less time that passes between the mining of these resources and their subsequent reburial, the more money that is made.
We are only beginning to recognize the true cost of these transactions.
